Missing Piece

Working on Missing Piece, I let the colours, teal, yellow, red, pink, blue, white, interact and overlap, forming layers of texture and depth. The brushwork is bold, with visible strokes and drips that add a dynamic energy to the surface. At the heart of the piece, a central white rectangle stands out against the vibrant chaos, drawing the eye into its quiet space. The contrast between the bright and dark areas creates a high-contrast scene, capturing an energetic yet introspective mood. I hesitate sometimes, revising as I go, but each layer builds on the previous one, telling a story of creation and reflection without ever preaching or moralising. This painting is a canvas of my thoughts, laid bare in acrylic, where every mark and colour choice speaks softly of the pieces we seek to complete ourselves.
