Britney was Right is an acrylic on canvas that started as an exploration of ochre and green. The brushstrokes layered up, each one building texture, until the text emerged, dense against the field of green. I balanced the words vertically, letting them stand starkly against the background. The high contrast between the text and the painted field makes the eye land directly on what’s written, no distractions. Each revision was a quiet decision, an admission that sometimes hesitation leads to clarity. Now it hangs here, this painting, a piece of my process frozen in time, revealing more with each glance.
