Unseen Bond began with one question. How do you hold on to a person who is no longer beside you? The answer became a bracelet, a quiet piece of black metal and silver, made to carry the relationships that shape a life. The ones still here, and the ones we only feel.

§ 01 · The idea

Some bonds are never visible. That does not make them any less real.

The brief was personal. A bracelet for the bond a wearer has, or once had, with someone who matters. A father who died young. A mother who left the family. A friend who moved to the other side of the world. The relationship is still there. It simply cannot be seen.

So the piece was never really about decoration. It was made to sit at the wrist as a small, steady reminder of love, comfort and strength, held close to the pulse. Something to reach for on the days those people feel far away.

Black is the absence of every other colour. The absence of the person, yes. Never of the bond.

§ 02 · The missing piece

Two loops that twist into one.

At the centre of the bracelet, an infinity curve folds into the shape of a heart and meets itself at the clasp. The clasp is the bond. It is the point where two sides are drawn together and held, the same gesture the wearer carries inside.

FormAn infinity loop knotted into a heart, doubling as the closing clasp.

§ 03 · What it carries

Five feelings, worn on the wrist.

The brief did not start from a shape. It started from what the wearer should feel each time they notice the piece is there.

Warmth

The memory of a person who mattered, kept close and kept kind.

Strength

Proof that a bond can outlast distance, silence and even loss.

Confidence

You are not carrying this alone. Someone is still with you.

Support

A steadying weight for the harder days, always within reach.

§ 04 · Made to outlast the moment

If the bond cannot be broken, the object should not break either.

Strength was the first requirement. A material strong enough to feel unbreakable, so the piece could stand for a relationship that outlasts everything around it. If it could last a lifetime and then be passed on, all the better.

Silver for warmth against the skin. Black metal for weight and quiet. An early study even looked at a fragment of meteorite for the centre, a material far older than any of us, worn on the wrist and carried forward.

The construction borrowed from the woven magnetic cable bracelet: a supple band that slips on easily and closes itself, so the piece could be lived in rather than fussed over.

§ 05 · The identity

A name, a mark, and a box to open.

Alongside the piece came a full identity, so the idea could stand on its own as a brand. The mark is the same knot as the clasp: two loops that hold each other, forming a heart.

The wordmark

UNSEEN in graphite, BOND in gold

The two words carry the two states of the piece. What is hidden sits in quiet grey. What endures is lifted into gold or silver, the metal of the bracelet itself.

The mark

Two loops, one heart

One loop grey, one loop gold, meeting at a point. The mark holds its two sides together exactly as the bracelet does, and reads as a heart before you notice the knot.
